Salvador Gonzalez is a Cuban painter who is reknowned for his murals which celebrate community events and the African influences that have become part of what it means to be Cuban. He began his career in 1960 and has had many showings of his work throughout Cuba, in the prestigious Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and he's painted a mural in Philadelphia.
