At the age of eighteen, Sunlay Almeida Rodriguez is the youngest of the Cuban Fire family. A devout student of the great Cuban composer Carlos Farina, Sunlay and her brother Mohammed provide their interpretation of Farina in a fresh and uncompromised manner. She is considered a virtuoso by aficianados of Cuban classical music. In 2001, Sunlay embarks on her first European tour. There is little doubt that a bright future is in store for this talented young woman.
