Eloy "El Ambia" Machado Perez is one of Cuba's finest poets living the Cayo Hueso neighborhood of Havana. In the Efik dialect "El Ambia" means the brother. He was born and lived on the streets, after the revolution his poems gained great renown throughout his homeland and he became considered Cuba's national poet. He first appeared in the film Of A Certain Way in 1974, now he graces the silver screen again in Cuban Fire.
